Mr. Favro has advised clients regarding government procurement practices, trademark and trade secret disputes, licensing and enforcing patent rights, and protocols for preserving electronic data. He has lectured on and authored materials relating to electronic discovery litigation. Mr. Favro's latest article, entitled Sea Change or Status Quo: Has the Rule 37(e) Safe Harbor Advanced Best Practices for Records Management, was published by the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science and Technology in March 2010. Mr. Favro is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Santa Clara County Bar Association. He chaired its High Technology Law Section for the past three years. He serves as a judge pro tem for the Santa Clara County Superior Court. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and belongs to the Intellectual Property Section and Science and Technology Section. Mr. Favro is a member of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society’s Silicon Valley Chapter and chairs its Law Student and Young Lawyer Committee. Mr. Favro graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1999 and is an Emery Scholar. He served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Jeremy Fogel, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. Mr. Favro has been an adjunct faculty member at Santa Clara University School of Law. He obtained his undergraduate degree in political science from Brigham Young University in 1994.
