He also manages the in-house network and 10-plus servers that utilize a Ringtail Legal implementation. Ringtail Legal is a sophisticated web-application allowing scores of legal reviewers to search and annotate electronic documents. Early this year he wrote a Java application to rapidly convert from Concordance Legal load formats to Ringtail Legal load formats, called Crank. Crank has already processed the equivalent of over five heavy rig truck loads worth of trees. (74 tons) Ron Jr.'s computer talents were nurtured early, as Los Altos High can attest, the school having bestowed upon him its “Most Computer Achievement of the Year” award in his junior year, 1990. In 1999, Ron graduated with a B.S. Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. And a year earlier he earned a Team Development Certification from UCSC Extension. Ron does pro bono work for two non-profit websites including LivingWild.org, which features a wiki reference for plants of the Sierra Nevada's. Livingwild.org is a brainchild of Alicia Funk, whose passion is using native plants to create everyday wellness for individuals and the planet. He also assists the website AgnoneItaly.com which represents the land of his Grandmother's ancestors, and home of the Marinelli family who has been making bells in its foundry since around the year 1000 (making it the third oldest family business in the world[1]). Ron's deep appreciation of the environment was certainly inspired by the climb he made with his brother in his early twenties, when they took the arduous Snake Dike route up the Southwest Face of Half Dome, Yosemite. He is also inspired daily by his beloved four-year-old daughter. |
